JENNIE, born Jennie Kim on January 16, 1996, in Anyang, South Korea, is a singer, rapper, and dancer best known as a member of the globally successful girl group BLACKPINK. Before debuting, she spent part of her childhood in Auckland, New Zealand, and trained for years under YG Entertainment, appearing as a featured guest on tracks by label mates like G-Dragon and Lee Hi before BLACKPINK's 2016 debut.
