Jelena Karleuša

Jelena Karleuša is a Serbian pop singer born in Belgrade in 1978, known for her flamboyant public image and status as one of the most talked-about celebrities in the Balkan region. She rose to prominence with her 1995 debut album «Ogledalce», and later albums such as «Gili, gili» pushed her sound toward mainstream pop. Her music blends pop with electronic and turbo-folk-adjacent influences typical of the regional scene, and songs like «Insomnia», «Mashallah» and «Tihi ubica» show her range from club-oriented pop to more dramatic ballads.

Her 2012 album «Diva» became one of the most commercially successful releases in Serbian music, and she has headlined large-scale concerts including a show at Belgrade's Ušće park reportedly drawing tens of thousands of fans.
