Jeffree Star

Jeffree Star, born Jeffrey Lynn Steininger Jr., is an American singer, songwriter, internet personality, and makeup entrepreneur. He rose to prominence in the mid-2000s as one of the most followed artists on MySpace Music, building a large audience for his provocative, glam-influenced electropop and industrial-tinged sound before releasing his early EPs and his 2009 debut studio album, «Beauty Killer», which he supported with world tours.

His music blends electropop, industrial, and shock-pop sensibilities with deliberately confrontational, gender-bending imagery, drawing on a glam and goth aesthetic that made him a fixture of underground and internet-driven pop culture. Key tracks such as «Lollipop Luxury», «Bitch, Please!», and «We Want Cunt» exemplify his brash, hook-driven style. In 2010 he signed to Akon's Kon Live imprint through Interscope Records, releasing the single «Prom Night» along with EPs including «Virginity» and «Mr. Diva», as well as «The Shit You Weren't Supposed to Hear!», compiling material from his Interscope sessions.

A planned full-length album titled «Concealer» was never released, as Star ultimately departed Interscope to focus on his cosmetics business, which became his primary public identity in the years that followed. His early career remains a notable example of an artist building mainstream visibility through internet platforms before pivoting from music into entrepreneurship.
