Жанна Фриске (Jeanna Friske)

Zhanna Friske was a Russian singer, actress, and television host who first gained fame as a member of the girl group Blestyashchie in the late 1990s. She left the group in 2003 to pursue a solo career, releasing dance-pop tracks that blended catchy, radio-friendly hooks with a glamorous, upbeat image typical of Russian pop of the 2000s.

Her solo hits, including «Ла-ла-ла», established her as one of the recognizable faces of Russian pop music, and she extended her public profile through television, appearing on reality and entertainment shows such as «Последний герой» and «Ледниковый период», which showcased her versatility beyond music.

In 2013, Friske was diagnosed with brain cancer, a battle she faced publicly, drawing significant attention to cancer awareness in Russia. She died in 2015, leaving behind a son. She remains a widely remembered figure in Russian pop culture, both for her music and for the courage she showed during her illness.
