Jason Derulo

Jason Derulo, born Jason Joel Desrouleaux, is an American singer, songwriter and dancer who emerged as one of the defining pop-R&B hitmakers of the early 2010s. Before launching his solo career he worked behind the scenes as a songwriter for other artists, eventually signing to the Beluga Heights label, which later became part of Warner Music Group. His 2009 debut single «Whatcha Say» introduced his signature habit of singing his own name at the start of tracks and became a chart-topping, multi-platinum hit.

Across a string of albums beginning with his self-titled 2010 debut and continuing through Future History and Tattoos, Derulo built a catalog of radio-friendly singles blending pop, R&B, dance and rap influences, including «Talk Dirty», «Wiggle», «Marry Me», «Trumpets» and «Want to Want Me».
