Jake Scott

Jake Scott is an American singer, songwriter and producer based in Los Angeles, known both for his own solo output and for his behind-the-scenes work writing and producing for other artists. He released his debut EP Of Life and Longing in 2013, which drew attention from industry figures including David Hodges, and followed it with the album Silhouettes & Sand, which reached number 2 on iTunes' singer/songwriter chart.

After that early success, Scott spent time focused on songwriting and production for other artists, including Jason Mraz, Christina Perri, Carrie Underwood, Morgan Wallen and Sara Evans, work that shaped his sensibility as a melodic, pop-leaning songwriter with country and singer-songwriter roots. Starting in 2018 he committed to releasing a new single every month, beginning with «Tuesdays», a practice he continued into the following year, resulting in a steady stream of songs including «Favorite T-Shirt», «Good Day» and «Working For You».

Scott's catalog, which also includes songs like «She», «Yours» and «Like This», reflects an intimate, melodic pop-and-country hybrid sound built around direct, relatable lyrics.
