Jack Stauber's Micropop

Jack Stauber's Micropop is a project name used by American musician Jack Stauber to release extended, full-length versions of the short songs originally created for his animated YouTube shorts, as well as tracks made for his contributions to Adult Swim's late-night programming. Rather than a separate artist, it functions as an alternate outlet distinct from his main solo discography.

Musically, it carries the same eclectic mix found across Stauber's work — pop hooks, lo-fi rock textures, and glitchy electronic flourishes — but frames them within songs that began life as brief, meme-friendly clips before being fleshed out into longer arrangements. Tracks like «Buttercup», «Two Time», and «Cupid» exemplify this approach, pairing catchy, almost naive melodies with the same surreal, slightly unsettling sensibility that defines his animated shorts.

The project also includes the album Micropop itself, an outlier in the catalog made up almost entirely of songs under a minute long, closer in spirit to the original short-form clips than to the extended versions found elsewhere in the Micropop discography. Together, the releases under this name document the connective tissue between Stauber's visual and musical output.
