Jack Garratt

Jack Garratt is an English singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for blending electronic production with soulful, R&B-inflected vocals and live-looped instrumentation. He first gained wide attention in the mid-2010s as a solo artist who wrote, arranged and performed nearly everything on his own recordings, drawing comparisons to artists working at the crossroads of pop, electronic and R&B.

His 2016 debut album «Phase» established his signature sound: brooding synths, falsetto vocals, and a mix of programmed beats with live drumming, showcased on songs like «Weathered», «Breathe Life», «Worry» and «Surprise Yourself». The record earned him major recognition in the UK music scene and led to extensive touring, including sold-out shows at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

After a period of writing and discarding material, Garratt regrouped with producers James Flannigan and Jacknife Lee to make his more collaborative, dance-influenced second album, «Love, Death & Dancing», released in 2020. The album, which he described as music for people processing anxiety and self-doubt rather than going out to dance, featured tracks such as «Time», «Fire», «Chemical» and «The Love You’re Given», and marked an evolution toward a warmer, more communal production style.
