J. Robert Spencer is an American actor and singer best known for his work in Broadway musical theatre. He rose to wide recognition for originating the role of Nick Massi in the original Broadway production of «Jersey Boys», the jukebox musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. His most acclaimed and defining role, however, came with «Next to Normal», the rock musical about a family coping with mental illness, in which he originated the part of Dan, the husband and father at the emotional center of the story.
