J-Ax

J-Ax, born Alessandro Aleotti on August 5, 1972, in Milan, is an Italian rapper, singer-songwriter and record producer, widely regarded as one of the pioneers of Italian hip-hop. He first rose to prominence with DJ Jad as the duo Articolo 31, which he co-founded in the early 1990s, blending old-school funk-influenced rap with, in later albums, a rockier and more punk-inflected sound.

After Articolo 31 disbanded, J-Ax launched a solo career with albums such as «Di sana pianta», «Rap n' roll» and «Deca Dance», later briefly forming the duo Due Di Picche with Neffa. He also co-founded the label Newtopia together with Fedez, with whom he recorded major collaborative hits including «Vorrei ma non posto» and «Italiana».

His music mixes rap with pop, rock and even country elements, often laced with irony and social commentary, and he has become a familiar face on Italian television as a coach on «The Voice» and as a talent-show mentor. His extensive body of work spans decades and has made him a lasting figure in Italian popular music.
