Isaiah Firebrace

Isaiah Firebrace is an Australian singer, born 21 November 1999, who rose to national fame after winning the eighth season of The X Factor Australia in 2016. Of Yorta Yorta and Gunditjmara Aboriginal descent, he grew up in a regional New South Wales town before his powerful vocals and easy charisma won over audiences and judges on the talent show.

His victory led to a recording contract and a run of pop singles blending R&B and light rap influences, including «Don’t Come Easy» and «It’s Gotta Be You». He went on to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, bringing his soulful pop sound to a wider European audience and finishing among the top results for his country in the contest.

Since then Firebrace has continued releasing music that leans into contemporary R&B and pop textures, with songs like «Streets of Gold» and «Thinking About You» showing a more mature, introspective songwriting style. He is also known as an advocate for Indigenous Australian representation in the entertainment industry.
