Irina Rimes

Irina Rimes, born Irina Rîmeș on August 22, 1991, in Izvoare, Florești district, Moldova, is a Moldovan singer-songwriter who now lives and works in Bucharest. She first became known in Moldova in 2012 as a finalist on the talent show Fabrica de staruri, then moved to Romania where an early attempt at a career under the alias Irra did not take off.

Her real breakthrough came in 2016 with «Visele», which topped Romanian radio charts and relaunched her as a solo artist. Hits like «Ce s-a întâmplat cu noi», «Bolnavi amândoi», «Nu știi tu să fii bărbat» and «POEM» followed, establishing her as one of Romania's most successful contemporary pop singers, with hundreds of millions of YouTube views. Her sound moves fluidly across pop, rap and electronic textures, often built on confessional, emotionally direct lyrics.

She has released several studio albums, including Despre el (2017), Cosmos (2018), Pastila (2020), ACASĂ (2022) and Origini (2024). Beyond her own catalog, Rimes is an in-demand songwriter for other artists such as Andra, Inna, Alina Eremia, Raluka and Antonia, and since 2018 has also been a television personality as a coach on a Romanian talent show.
