Ирина Отиева (Irina Otieva)

Irina Otieva is a Soviet and Russian jazz and pop singer, honored as a Merited Artist of Russia. Known for a remarkable vocal range spanning roughly three and a half octaves, she built her reputation as one of the more technically distinctive voices to emerge from the late Soviet pop and jazz scene, blending estrada sensibility with jazz phrasing and improvisational color.

She is best remembered for «Последняя поэма», the theme from the beloved Soviet film «Вам и не снилось» (You Never Dreamed), a song that became one of the defining romantic ballads of Soviet-era cinema and remains closely associated with her name. Beyond performing, Otieva is also a composer and songwriter, which set her apart from many of her estrada contemporaries who relied solely on outside material.
