Ирина Круг (Irina Krug)

Irina Krug is a Russian pop and shanson singer, born March 29, 1976. She became widely known through her relationship with Mikhail Krug, one of the most influential figures in Russian shanson (a genre blending folk storytelling, prison-ballad traditions and sentimental pop). After his death in 2002, she continued to build her own career, carrying forward the emotional, melodramatic sensibility associated with his music while developing a softer, more pop-oriented sound of her own.

Her repertoire centers on themes of love, loss and longing, delivered in a warm, expressive vocal style typical of Russian estrada. Songs such as «Тебе, моя последняя любовь», «Метель» and «Снег» showcase her focus on intimate, romantic balladry, while tracks like «Шанель (Выдумки в летнем саду)» lean into more theatrical, image-driven pop production.
