About the artist
Iqbaal Ramadhan is an Indonesian actor and singer, born in Jakarta, who first rose to fame as a member of the boy band Coboy Junior before becoming one of the most recognizable young performers in Indonesian pop culture. He gained massive popularity for his lead role as Dilan in the film adaptation of the novel «Dilan 1990», and the accompanying soundtrack songs he performed, such as «Rindu Sendiri» and «Kita Pernah Ada», helped cement his crossover appeal as both an actor and a recording artist.
His music sits comfortably within mainstream Indonesian pop, characterized by soft, melodic arrangements, romantic and nostalgic lyrics, and a warm vocal delivery that mirrors the youthful, sentimental tone of the films he has starred in. Much of his musical output has been closely tied to his acting career, with songs released as film tie-ins that reached wide audiences across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
Beyond «Dilan», Iqbaal has continued to release solo material and has been recognized as one of the leading young voices bridging teen pop and film soundtrack music in Indonesia, maintaining a strong following built through both his screen and musical work.
