Infected Mushroom

Infected Mushroom are an Israeli electronic music duo, formed in 1996 by Erez Eisen and Amit «Duvdev» Duvdevani, who both began learning piano at a young age before moving into electronic music production. They became one of the most prominent acts in psytrance, credited with helping popularize an distinctly Israeli strain of the genre internationally.

Their sound is known for dense, aggressive production, intricate sound design, and a willingness to push psytrance toward heavier, more rock- and metal-influenced territory, later incorporating guitars and expanding into broader electronic and even rap-adjacent styles across their catalog. Tracks such as «Becoming Insane», «Artillery» and «Where Do I Belong» reflect this genre-blending approach, while songs sung in Hebrew, like «Ani Mevushal», show their continued connection to Israeli musical roots.

After early success built on the international psytrance festival circuit, the duo relocated their base of operations to Los Angeles, expanding their sound with additional musicians and broadening their audience beyond the psytrance scene into wider electronic and rock fanbases, while remaining one of the genre's most influential and long-running acts.
