Indira Radić

Indira Radić is a Bosnian-born Serbian pop-folk singer, one of the best-known voices of the turbo-folk genre that emerged across the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. Born in 1966, she began her career in the early 1990s, releasing her debut album «Nagrada i kazna» in 1992 with the group Južni Vetar, and soon relocated to Belgrade, which became the base for her recording career.

Her style blends pop and dance production with traditional Balkan folk melodic elements, sometimes incorporating exotic musical touches, as heard on tracks like «Ratovanje». Over more than two decades she released a large body of albums, becoming a fixture of the pop-folk scene in Serbia and neighboring countries, with a catalog spanning songs such as «Zmaj», «Lopov» and «Poželela».

Radić's career reflects the broader rise of turbo-folk as a dominant regional pop form, and she is regarded as one of its most enduring and commercially successful performers, maintaining popularity across the countries of the former Yugoslavia as well as in Bulgaria.
