Indigo De Souza

Indigo De Souza is an American-Brazilian indie rock singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina, born in Danbury, Connecticut, and raised partly in the small town of Spruce Pine, North Carolina. She has become one of the more distinctive voices in contemporary indie rock, known for songs that are intimate, anxious, and unflinchingly personal, often wrestling with disappointment, grief, and the messiness of relationships.

Her music moves between fragile, confessional balladry and bursts of raw, cathartic noise, giving her records an emotionally volatile quality that critics have often highlighted. Her albums I Love My Mom, Any Shape You Take, and All of This Will End trace an evolution from lo-fi bedroom-pop textures toward fuller, more dynamic arrangements, while EPs like Boys and don't cry just do further showcase her range. She has also released music with producer Ethan Baechtold under the alias Icky Bricketts.
