In Real Life

In Real Life was an American boy band formed in 2017 as the winning act of the singing competition show Boy Band, hosted by Rita Ora. The group brought together Brady Tutton, Sergio Calderon, Drew Ramos, Chance Perez, and rapper Conor Smith, blending pop vocals with hip hop-inflected verses in a format aimed squarely at a young, social-media-savvy fanbase built during the show's run.

The group released its winning single «Eyes Closed» on the day the show concluded, quickly following it with holiday tracks and a steady run of singles including «Tattoo (How ’Bout You)», «How Badly», «Tonight Belongs to You», and «Got Me Good». These releases established a bright, radio-friendly pop-R&B sound with rap features from Smith adding contrast to the group's harmonies, and were supported by their first headlining tour.

After further singles such as «Crazy AF», In Real Life released their debut studio album, «She Do», in 2019, which became the culmination of the group's rapid rise out of reality television. The album and its accompanying tour marked the group's most fully realized project, cementing their identity within the late-2010s wave of boy bands that emerged directly from streaming and TV talent formats.
