Idina Menzel

Idina Menzel is an American singer and actress renowned for her powerhouse voice and central role in shaping modern musical theater, alongside a parallel career as a pop vocalist and film performer. She first gained recognition originating the role of Maureen Johnson in the Broadway musical Rent, before achieving stardom originating Elphaba in Wicked, a performance that earned her a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical and cemented her signature song «Defying Gravity» as a modern show-tune standard.
