About the artist
Hwang Hyunjin, known mononymously as HYUNJIN, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer, and a member of the K-pop group Stray Kids under JYP Entertainment. Born on 20 March 2000 in Seoul, he is the group's main dancer and one of its tallest members, often praised for his striking visuals and precise, expressive choreography. Within Stray Kids he is part of the dance-focused DANCERACHA unit and frequently performs collaborative special stages with other idols at award shows, cementing his reputation as one of the group's strongest performers.
Beyond dance, HYUNJIN has developed as a vocalist, composer, and songwriter through the group's SKZ-RECORD and SKZ-PLAYER content series. His first solo track, «꼬마별 (miss you)», released in 2020, was written as a tribute to his first puppy. In 2022 he released the self-composed «ice.cream» as part of SKZ-RECORD, and later that year co-wrote and composed «Love Untold», which received an official release on Stray Kids' compilation album SKZ-REPLAY.
In 2023, HYUNJIN's profile grew internationally when he was featured on a remix of Troye Sivan's single «Rush» alongside PinkPantheress, connecting his voice to a wider pop and R&B audience outside Korea. His songwriting and solo output show a softer, more melodic and personal side compared to Stray Kids' typically high-energy group sound.
