HyunA (현아)

HyunA (real name Kim Hyuna) is a South Korean singer, rapper, and songwriter known for one of the boldest, most provocative images in K-pop. She began her career as a trainee and briefly a member of Wonder Girls before moving to Cube Entertainment, where she became a core member of the girl group 4Minute and later formed the duo Trouble Maker with Hyunseung and the trio Triple H. Her solo work built on the sexually confident, hip-hop-and-EDM-inflected sound that made tracks like «빨개요 (Red)», «Bubble Pop!», and «Ice Cream» into K-pop touchstones.

After years at Cube, HyunA left the label in 2018 alongside her partner E'Dawn (DAWN) following the public confirmation of their relationship, a move that drew significant attention in an industry historically strict about idol dating. The pair signed with Psy's label P NATION in 2019, and HyunA released «FLOWER SHOWER» as her first work under the new label. She continued to release solo singles blending pop, rap, and R&B, including the 2021 hit «I'm Not Cool» and 2022's «나빌레라 (Nabillera)».

In late 2022, HyunA and DAWN both left P NATION, and in 2023 she signed with the label AT AREA. Across her career she has remained one of K-pop's most recognizable solo female performers, known for provocative choreography, catchy hooks, and a persona built around unapologetic sexuality and self-expression.
