HUNTR/X

HUNTR/X, also styled Huntrix (헌트릭스), is a fictional K-pop girl group created for the 2025 Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters. The group consists of three members — Rumi, the leader and vocalist; Mira, the visual and lead dancer; and Zoey, the lyricist and rapper — voiced in the film by Arden Cho, May Hong and Ji Young Yoo respectively, while the singing was handled by K-pop singer-songwriter EJAE as Rumi, R&B singer Audrey Nuna as Mira, and REI AMI as Zoey.

The project blends contemporary K-pop with electronic production and rap verses, mirroring the sound of real-world girl groups while serving the film’s story about idols who secretly battle demonic threats. HUNTR/X released four original songs for the soundtrack — «How It’s Done», «Golden», «Takedown» and «What It Sounds Like» — which found an audience well beyond the film itself, with «Golden» in particular becoming a breakout hit.

As a fictional-but-fully-produced act, HUNTR/X occupies an unusual space between animated media tie-in and legitimate pop chart presence, with the songs later reissued in multiple language versions, including French, Japanese and Spanish, extending the group’s reach to international K-pop and pop fans alike.
