Hot Chocolate

Hot Chocolate were a British band formed in London in the early 1970s, led by songwriter and vocalist Errol Brown. Blending soul, funk, pop, and reggae influences, the group carved out a distinctive multicultural sound that stood apart from much of the British pop landscape of the era and helped them sustain hit-making success across two decades.

The band's biggest and most enduring hit, «You Sexy Thing», became an international classic, later finding a second life through film soundtracks and continued radio play. Other singles such as «Emma», «Brother Louie», «So You Win Again», and «Every 1's a Winner» showcased the group's range, moving between soulful ballads, disco-tinged grooves, and socially aware storytelling, with Brown's smooth, expressive voice serving as the band's anchor throughout.
