Hombres G

Hombres G are a Spanish rock and pop-rock band formed in Madrid in 1982 by singer and bassist David Summers together with guitarist Rafa Gutiérrez, drummer Javier Molina and guitarist Daniel Mezquita. They emerged from the vibrant Madrid music scene of the early 1980s, playing clubs like Rock-Ola before signing with the Twins label, and quickly became one of the defining pop-rock acts of the era known as la movida madrileña.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 1985, turned them into stars almost overnight thanks to irreverent, hook-laden singles such as «Devuélveme a Mi Chica» (also known as «Sufre, Mamón»), «Marta Tiene Un Marcapasos» and «Venezia». The band's sound combined catchy guitar-pop melodies with witty, colloquial lyrics, a formula that resonated not only in Spain but across Latin America, where they built an enormous and lasting fanbase.

After splitting in the early 1990s, Hombres G reunited in 2002 and returned to touring the United States and Latin America to great success, later releasing further studio albums and continuing to perform their classic hits for new generations of fans. Songs like «Te Quiero» and «Si No Te Tengo A Ti» remain staples of Spanish-language pop-rock radio, cementing the group's status as one of Spain's most beloved and enduring bands.
