Herreys

Herreys (also written Herrey's) is a Swedish pop group formed by three brothers, Per, Richard and Louis Herrey. The trio achieved lasting fame by winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1984 with the upbeat, hook-driven song «Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley», performed in golden shoes that became an enduring visual trademark of their act.

The brothers' sound reflected the bright, melodic Scandinavian pop that flourished on the Eurovision stage in the 1980s: cheerful arrangements, simple singalong choruses and polished vocal harmonies designed for broad, feel-good appeal. Following their Eurovision win, they released an English-language version of the song and continued recording pop material for the Swedish and international market, including tracks like «Mirror Mirror Upon the Wall» and «Every Song You Sing».

While Eurovision success does not always translate into a lasting career, Herreys became one of Sweden's most recognizable Eurovision acts, remembered both for the song itself and for the celebratory image the brothers cultivated. Their victory came the same decade that ABBA had already cemented Sweden's reputation as a powerhouse of accessible, melodic pop, and Herreys' win further reinforced that association for Eurovision audiences of the era.
