Hayley Williams

Hayley Williams is an American singer, songwriter and keyboardist, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Paramore, which she fronted from her teenage years in Franklin, Tennessee, alongside bandmates including guitarist Taylor York. Paramore rose from the mid-2000s pop-punk and emo scene, breaking through with the platinum-certified «Riot!» (2007) and cementing their status with «Brand New Eyes» (2009), «Paramore» (2013) and «After Laughter» (2017), the latter marking a shift toward glossy new-wave and pop influences.

Williams has also built a distinct profile outside the band. She was featured on B.o.B's 2010 hit «Airplanes», one of the era's biggest crossover singles, and later appeared on tracks by Zedd and New Found Glory. In 2020 she released her solo debut single «Simmer», followed by the album «Petals for Armor», a more intimate, textured exploration of personal trauma and healing. Later that year she surprised fans with a second solo record, «FLOWERS for VASES / descansos», recorded largely alone during lockdown.

Her voice — powerful, elastic and instantly recognizable — combined with candid, emotionally raw songwriting has made her one of the defining vocalists of her generation, bridging pop-punk's urgency with more introspective pop and alternative textures. Whether fronting Paramore or working solo, she remains known for restless creative reinvention and outspoken honesty about mental health and identity.
