Harmonize

Harmonize, born Rajab Abdul Kahali in Mtwara, Tanzania, is one of East Africa’s leading bongo flava and Afro-pop artists. He rose to prominence after signing with Diamond Platnumz’s WCB Wasafi label, gaining wide recognition through the hit «Bado», a duet with Diamond Platnumz, and further exposure via his feature on Rich Mavoko’s «Show Me».

His sound blends Tanzanian bongo flava with Afrobeats, R&B, and dancehall influences, characterized by melodic hooks, Swahili lyrics, and danceable rhythms. Songs like «Kwa Ngwaru», «Kainama», «Atarudi», and «Furaha» showcase his versatility across romantic ballads and upbeat club anthems, while «Niambie» and «Single Again» highlight his knack for emotionally direct storytelling.

Harmonize was named among MTV Base’s Ones to Watch for Africa, reflecting his growing influence beyond Tanzania into the broader East and Pan-African music scene. He later left Wasafi to launch his own label, continuing to release music that bridges bongo flava with contemporary African pop.
