HANSON

Hanson is an American pop rock band formed in Tulsa, Oklahoma, made up of brothers Isaac, Taylor, and Zac Hanson. Starting out as a family act performing a cappella covers in the early 1990s, they built a grassroots following through independent releases before signing to a major label and breaking through internationally in 1997 with the single «MMMBop», taken from their debut studio album Middle of Nowhere. The song's buoyant harmonies and irresistible hook made it one of the defining pop singles of the decade and turned the young brothers into global stars almost overnight.

Beyond the initial wave of teen-pop fame, Hanson distinguished themselves by writing and playing their own instruments, blending pop melodicism with rock, R&B, and country influences across subsequent albums. Songs like «Where's The Love», «Penny & Me», and «Love Song» showed a maturing songwriting sensibility as the group moved from adolescence into adulthood, while «The Walk» and other later tracks reflected a more soulful, roots-oriented direction. After parting ways with their major label in the early 2000s, Hanson launched their own independent label, 3CG Records, giving them full creative and business control over their output.
