Halle

Halle Bailey, known professionally as Halle, is an American singer, songwriter and actress born March 27, 2000, and raised in Mableton, Georgia, near Atlanta. She first rose to prominence as the younger half of Chloe x Halle, the R&B duo she formed with her older sister Chloe, after the pair gained early attention posting cover songs on YouTube starting around 2011 before the family relocated to Los Angeles.

Alongside her work with Chloe x Halle, Halle built a significant acting career, and her solo music profile grew dramatically when she was cast as Ariel in Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid. She released a cover of «Part of Your World» as her debut solo single in April 2023 ahead of the film's release, followed by reprise versions of the song, before issuing her first original solo material, «angel», later that year. Her sound draws on R&B and pop with elements of rock, marked by her distinctive, airy vocal delivery.

Halle's debut solo studio album, love? …or something like it, arrived in 2025, featuring songs such as «For the First Time», «in your hands», «because i love you» and «braveface» that explore romance and self-discovery. Balancing acting and music, she remains one of the more prominent young R&B-pop voices to emerge from the 2010s YouTube cover scene into mainstream film and recording success.
