Halil Sezai

Halil Sezai is a Turkish singer, songwriter and actor born in 1979 in Eskişehir, Turkey. He trained as an actor at Hacettepe University's Ankara State Conservatory, graduating in 2003, and built a career that spans both film and television roles and a parallel path as a recording artist, blending rock, pop and country influences with occasional forays into rap-adjacent material.

His breakout as a musician came with the song «İsyan», which topped Turkish music charts and established him as a major crossover talent between acting and music. His solo albums Seni Beklerken (2011) and Ey Aşk (2013) resonated strongly with listeners, and in 2012 he won the Kral TV Music Award for Best Breakthrough Artist on the strength of Seni Beklerken. Beyond his solo work, he has contributed songs to other artists' projects and collaborated with figures such as Sibel Can, lending his voice to tracks including «Galata».

Halil Sezai has also written and performed music for film soundtracks, notably contributing original songs to the İncir Reçeli 2 soundtrack, including «Kafası Kendinden Bile Güzel». Known for combining an emotionally raw vocal delivery with introspective lyrics, he remains a prominent figure in Turkish popular music, recognized both for hits like «Sonbahar» and «Olsun» and for his continued work as an actor and composer.
