Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani is an American singer, songwriter and fashion designer born on October 3, 1969 in Fullerton, California. She first rose to fame as the frontwoman of the ska-pop-rock band No Doubt, whose 1995 album Tragic Kingdom turned the group into one of the defining acts of 1990s alternative radio with hits like «Just a Girl» and «Don't Speak». Her distinctive voice, playful stage persona and constantly shifting visual style made her one of the most recognizable performers of her generation.

In 2004 she launched a solo career with Love. Angel. Music. Baby., a dance-pop record steeped in 1980s synths and hip-hop swagger that produced the chart-topping singles «Rich Girl», «Hollaback Girl» and «What You Waiting For?». The follow-up, The Sweet Escape (2006), continued in a similarly bright, club-ready direction.
