Gus Dapperton, born Brendan Patrick Rice in Warwick, New York, is an American singer-songwriter and producer known for his idiosyncratic blend of bedroom pop, indie rock, and lo-fi electronic textures. He first gained attention in 2017 when the singles I am Just Snacking and Prune, You Talk Funny went viral online, showcasing his distinctive nasal, expressive vocal delivery and DIY visual aesthetic featuring bold hair and eyewear.

Dapperton records with a close-knit group that includes his sister Amadelle alongside longtime friends, and he handles much of his own production, giving his songs a handmade, idiosyncratic quality.
