Grupo Mojado

Grupo Mojado is a Mexican regional group formed in the early 1990s in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, near the US border. Playing within the grupero and Latin pop tradition, the band built its reputation on romantic ballads delivered with lush keyboard arrangements and close vocal harmonies typical of the norteño-pop crossover sound popular in northern Mexico and among Mexican-American audiences in Texas.

The group became widely known for songs such as «Piensa En Mi», «Caldo De Pollo» and «Tonta», tracks that mix heartbreak themes with catchy, danceable rhythms. Their style helped popularize a softer, radio-friendly take on grupero music, appealing to a broad audience across both sides of the border.
