Grimes is the recording name of Claire Boucher, a Canadian singer, songwriter and producer known for self-producing genre-blurring electronic pop music. Emerging from Montreal's DIY and experimental music scenes, she released early lo-fi albums such as «Geidi Primes» and «Halfaxa» before drawing wider attention with «Visions» (2012), an album she wrote and produced largely on her own using GarageBand.
