About the artist
Griffinilla is an American musician, songwriter and YouTuber based in Los Angeles, who rose to prominence within the My Little Pony fandom community around 2012 with brony-themed songs before finding a much wider audience through video-game-inspired music. His breakout came in March 2015 with «Stay Calm», a song built around the indie horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s, released at the height of that franchise’s viral popularity.
The success of «Stay Calm» led him to write further Five Nights at Freddy’s tracks, including «They’ll Find You», «Creepin’ Towards the Door» and «Bonnie’s Mixtape», which together drew millions of views and established him as one of the defining voices of the FNAF fan-music wave. He later turned his attention to other viral games, most notably Undertale, for which he produced a widely watched cereal-commercial parody.
Griffinilla’s music blends pop, rock, rap and electronic elements, often built around character voices, narrative storytelling and horror or humor tied to the games and internet culture that inspired them. Rather than following a conventional album-cycle career, he has built his catalog largely through singles tied to gaming trends, livestreams and direct engagement with his YouTube audience, making him a notable example of an artist whose career formed entirely inside internet fan culture.
