Grace VanderWaal

Grace VanderWaal is an American singer-songwriter born January 15, 2004, in Suffern, New York. She rose to fame in 2016 after performing her original song «I Don't Know My Name» on season 11 of America's Got Talent, where a golden buzzer moment and judge comparisons to Taylor Swift helped the ukulele-driven performance go viral. She went on to win the season, becoming one of the show's youngest champions.

Her music blends pop, folk, and acoustic-leaning R&B, often centered on ukulele and piano with lyrics that reflect on identity, self-acceptance, and adolescence. After signing to Simon Cowell's label, she released the EP «Perfectly Imperfect» and later the full-length album «Just the Beginning», both showcasing her distinctive raspy vocal tone and confessional songwriting style.
