About the artist
Good Times Ahead, formerly known as GTA, is a Miami-based electronic music duo made up of Julio Mejia and Matt Toth. Rising through the EDM scene in the early 2010s, they built a reputation for stylistic versatility summed up in their long-running motto «Death To Genres», moving fluidly between trap, house, hip-hop and pop-leaning electronic production rather than sticking to one lane.
The duo gained early support from Laidback Luke and his Mixmash label around 2011, which helped launch their rise through the festival circuit. They have since played major festivals including Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland and Coachella, and have toured alongside artists such as Tiesto, Calvin Harris and Rihanna. Tracks such as «Red Lips» and its Skrillex remix, «Little Bit of This» and «True Romance» reflect their knack for combining hard-hitting electronic production with pop and hip-hop hooks.
Beyond their own releases, Good Times Ahead have collaborated with a wide range of artists spanning Major Lazer, Martin Solveig and Vince Staples, and have remixed tracks across multiple genres, reinforcing their identity as producers who resist easy genre classification. Their rebrand from GTA to Good Times Ahead marked a new chapter while keeping the same genre-blending, festival-driven approach at the core of their sound.
