GIRLSET

GIRLSET is a global pop girl group formed under JYP Entertainment in partnership with Republic Records, built around a hybrid American-Korean idol model. The members were selected through the 2023 reality competition A2K (America2Korea), which cast trainees across the United States and Korea, and the group debuted on January 26, 2024 under the name VCHA with the single album «Girls of The Year». After lineup adjustments and a period of hiatus, the group re-emerged in August 2025 as GIRLSET, now consisting of Lexi, Camila, Kendall and Savanna.

Musically the group works in a Western-leaning pop and R&B space, distinct from the more maximalist production typical of mainline K-pop groups, reflecting JYP's attempt to build an act aimed primarily at the American market. Their catalogue includes original singles such as «Little Miss», «Tweak» and «Commas», alongside covers of songs like «Gimme More» and «Santa Tell Me», and remix versions of their own material, such as the TCTS remix of «Little Miss».

GIRLSET represents one of the more visible experiments in cross-market idol group formation, combining an American reality-show origin story with a Korean entertainment company's production and training system.
