Getter Jaani

Getter Jaani, born Getter Ragnila Jaani in 1993 in Tallinn, is an Estonian singer and actress who first gained national attention as a contestant on Eesti otsib superstaari, the Estonian version of Idol, finishing in fourth place. She subsequently starred as Sharpay Evans in the Estonian stage production of High School Musical, establishing herself as a young pop performer with crossover appeal between music and musical theater.

Jaani's biggest breakthrough came when she represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song «Rockefeller Street», an upbeat electropop track that became a hit domestically and placed 24th in the contest's final. The song's success led to numerous remixes, including nightcore and club versions, that extended its popularity well beyond the competition itself.

Following Eurovision, she continued her career as a pop artist in the Estonian-language market, releasing music that blended dance-pop and electronic production, including her later album DNA in 2014. She remains one of the more recognizable Estonian pop and Eurovision-era performers of her generation.
