George Baker Selection

George Baker Selection was a Dutch pop-rock band formed in the late 1960s in Hoorn, Netherlands, led by singer and guitarist Johannes Bouwens, who performed under the stage name George Baker. The group rose to international fame with their breezy, melodic sound that blended soft rock with easy-listening pop, becoming one of the most successful Dutch acts of the era on the global stage.

Their signature hit, «Little Green Bag», became a cult favorite decades after its release thanks to its use in the opening scene of Quentin Tarantino's «Reservoir Dogs», introducing the band to a new generation. Other well-known songs such as «Paloma Blanca» and «Una Paloma Blanca» further cemented their reputation for warm, sun-soaked melodies with a distinctly continental European flavor.

George Baker Selection's music is characterized by clean guitar lines, gentle rhythms, and sing-along choruses that made their songs staples of European radio throughout the 1970s. The band's ability to cross over into multiple markets, including the United States and Latin America, made them one of the more internationally recognized Dutch pop acts of their generation.
