GACKT

Gackt is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and actor whose career began in the early 1990s as frontman of Cains:Feel before he joined the influential visual kei band Malice Mizer, with whom he recorded albums that helped define the theatrical, glam-rock aesthetic of the genre. Since launching his solo career in 1999, he has built one of the most consistent singles chart records in Japanese pop history, releasing dozens of singles across nine studio albums.

His solo sound blends rock instrumentation with sweeping, cinematic pop arrangements, often drawing on classical and orchestral flourishes alongside a strong image built around elaborate costuming and stagecraft inherited from his visual kei roots.
