Fred again.. is the stage name of Frederick John Philip Gibson, a British producer, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who emerged as one of the defining voices in contemporary electronic and dance music. Before establishing his solo profile, he built a reputation as a behind-the-scenes songwriter and producer, working with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Eminem, and Stormzy, and won the BRIT Award for Producer of the Year in 2020.

As a solo artist, Fred again.. is best known for his Actual Life album series, which weaves together field recordings, voice memos, and samples of friends and collaborators into emotionally raw, diary-like dance music. Tracks such as «adore u», «Kyle (i found you)», and «places to be» showcase his signature style: warm, textured production built from found sound and vocal fragments, blending house, UK garage, and ambient electronica into something distinctly personal.

His live sets, including collaborative performances with artists like Skrillex and Four Tet, and his Boiler Room and Tiny Desk appearances, have helped bring an intimate, sample-based approach to festival main stages. He has also released a collaborative album, GANG, with drill rapper Headie One, further underlining his range across genres.
