Francesca Michielin

Francesca Michielin is an Italian singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Bassano del Grappa. She rose to fame in 2011 after winning the talent show X Factor Italia, launching her career with the EP «Distratto» and her debut album «Riflessi di me». She gained wider recognition through collaborations with rapper Fedez, notably «Cigno Nero» and «Magnifico».

In 2016 she represented Italy at the Sanremo Music Festival with «Nessun grado di separazione», finishing runner-up, and went on to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest that year. Her sound has evolved from pop-oriented songwriting toward a more mature, introspective style, evident on albums like «2640» and «FEAT (Stato di Natura)», the latter built entirely around collaborations with other artists. She returned to Sanremo in 2021 with «CHIAMAMI PER NOME», again alongside Fedez.

Beyond music, Michielin has branched into writing, publishing her debut novel «Il cuore è un organo» in 2022. She is regarded as one of the most versatile artists of her generation in Italian pop, moving fluidly between pop, rock, rap, and R&B influences while maintaining a strong authorial voice.
