Fool's Garden

Fool's Garden are a German pop-rock band founded in Pforzheim in 1991 by Peter Freudenthaler and Volker Hinkel. They first gained national attention with the song «Wild Days», used in a German television advertisement, but their breakthrough came with the 1995 single «Lemon Tree», which turned into a worldwide phenomenon, was translated into dozens of languages and became one of the most recognizable pop songs of the 1990s.

Fool's Garden write all of their own material, favoring warm, melodic guitar-pop with light acoustic textures, singable choruses and an easygoing, radio-friendly sensibility that made «Lemon Tree» such an enduring earworm. Following that success, the band built a loyal international audience, particularly across Europe and Asia, and songs like «Save The World Tomorrow», «Shame» and «It Can Happen» kept them regular presences on German and international charts through the following years.

The band has toured extensively worldwide, including a landmark concert in Kaliningrad, Russia in 2005 that drew over 100,000 spectators, and has continued performing across Germany, Russia, China and beyond. Decades after «Lemon Tree» first topped charts, Fool's Garden remain one of Germany's most internationally recognized pop-rock exports, with a catalogue including «Save The World Tomorrow», «Spirit Of The Disappeared», «Welcome Sun» and «Save Me».
