Flight Facilities

Flight Facilities are an Australian electronic duo formed in Sydney in 2009 by Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell. They began as producers making club edits and remixes before releasing their breakout single «Crave You» in 2010, whose sun-drenched, disco-tinged synths and guest vocals became a defining sound of the Australian dance scene. The track's massive club success established the template the duo would return to throughout their career: glossy, retro-futurist production built around rotating featured vocalists rather than a fixed frontperson.

Signed to the influential Sydney label Future Classic, Flight Facilities released their debut album Down to Earth in 2014, an assured collection spanning disco, funk, and downtempo house that further showcased their gift for collaboration, featuring artists such as Grovesnor, Reggie Watts, and Jess Higgs. Singles like «Clair de Lune» and «Two Bodies» extended their reputation for cinematic, emotionally rich dance music that rewards headphone listening as much as dancefloor play.

Beyond their own catalogue, Gruzman and Lyell built a name as remixers and producers for other artists, reinforcing their standing as tastemakers within Australia's electronic scene.
