Fiji, born George Brooks Veikoso, is a Fijian-born singer, songwriter and producer raised in Hawaii, where he became one of the defining voices of the island reggae and Jawaiian scene. His music blends classic reggae rhythms with R&B, hip-hop and jazz phrasing, giving his catalog a smooth, romantic quality distinct from harder-edged roots reggae acts. He rose to prominence in the 1990s as part of the Hawaiian reggae movement alongside artists on labels like Quiet Storm and Honolulu-based imprints that championed island sounds beyond mainland audiences.

Songs such as «Sosefina», «Sweet Darlin», «Come On Over» and «Jowenna (Sweet Hawaiian Girl)» showcase his gift for warm, melodic love songs sung in English and Fijian, often built around acoustic guitar and steady one-drop rhythms.
