Fido, born Awosika Olayemi Josiah, is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer from Ogun State now based in Lagos. He began performing as a child in his church choir and later studied at the PEFTI Film Institute, an environment that sharpened his creative instincts before he committed fully to music. His sound draws on the street-pop and street-hop lineage popularized by artists like Olamide and Kizz Daniel, blending Yoruba-inflected melodies with punchy, dance-ready production typical of contemporary Lagos Afrobeats.
