Eyedress

Eyedress is the stage name of Idris Vicuña, a Filipino musician, songwriter and producer based in Manila. He began releasing music in the early 2010s, building a lo-fi, DIY sound that blended bedroom pop, jangly indie rock, dream pop and hints of hip hop and R&B production, often recorded and produced largely on his own.

Over the years his sound evolved into a more polished but still hazy, nostalgic blend of pop hooks and gritty production, drawing comparisons to slacker rock and dream pop while retaining an outsider, homemade feel. Songs like «Jealous» and «Something About You» brought him wider international attention, with the latter becoming a viral hit years after its release and helping introduce his catalog to a much larger audience.

Eyedress has collaborated with a range of artists across genres, reflecting his position at the intersection of underground rap, indie rock and pop scenes, and he has released music both independently and through international labels. He is frequently accompanied creatively and visually by his wife Elvia, who appears in many of his music videos and contributes to his work, reinforcing the intimate, homemade aesthetic that runs through his catalog.
