EXO-CBX

EXO-CBX is a subunit of the K-pop group EXO, made up of members Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin. Formed to showcase the trio's vocal strengths outside the full twelve-member group format, the unit debuted in 2016 with the mini-album «Hey Mama!», leaning into upbeat, hook-driven pop production distinct from EXO's main discography.

The unit built a track record beyond their Korean releases by contributing OSTs to popular Korean dramas, work that helped establish Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin as reliable, radio-friendly vocalists in their own right. They also expanded into Japan, releasing the EP «Girls» ahead of their full-length Japanese album «Magic» in 2018, led by the single «Horololo», marking one of the more successful Japanese-market pushes among EXO's subunits.

Back in Korea, their second EP «Blooming Days», headlined by the title track «花요일 (Blooming Day)», became one of the best-selling albums of 2018 in South Korea, cementing EXO-CBX as a commercially significant subunit rather than a side project. Tracks like «Ka-CHING!» and «Someone Like You» further showcased their range across playful and more heartfelt pop styles.
